Graver's QMC filters are manufactured from layers of melt blown polypropylene, which allows for high flow rates and ideal depth filtration characteristics. With 95% efficiency at their rated micron level, they make an ideal and cost-effective pre-filter. If you're just trying to catch large visible particles they are the go-to filter we recommend most, and they are the most popular filter we sell to wineries, breweries and distilleries.

Micron Size Guide

• 1 µm and smaller: Aids in microbial retention, and can act as a pre-filter for a sterile filter (though Graver QSL may be a better choice as a dedicated pre-filter)
• 1–5 µm: Clarifying grade for haze due to solids in suspension
• 5–10 µm: Coarse filtration for large visible particles

End Types:

Our stainless steel housings use P7 (a.k.a. Code 7) filter end types. Our polypropylene and plastic housings use AM filter end types.
